If you are looking at the northern sky, then you are looking away from the densely populated galactic center. The northern sky appears slightly less brighter than the southern sky. The northern sky has some famous stars like The Great Bear and Orion. In ancient times, the stars are considered as fixed and rotate at the same axis around the earth. Even now the maps are framed assuming that only. Lets have a look at the northern sky stars.
